  • Heart Disease screening with CT
    • CTCA (CT coronary angiography) is a virtual angiogram scan that takes pictures of your heart and coronary arteries within 1-2 heart beats. This detailed test is non-invasive, and allows us to see any hard or soft plaque that causes furring of the heart arteries. We also gain information on the degree of  narrowing of the arteries to stratify your cardiac risk.
  • Heart Disease screening without CT
    • Stress Echocardiogram (ultrasound scan of the heart during exertion) is a heart test that can help to look for underlying heart disease and valve problems. The scan is painless and does not use radiation
  • Stroke risk screening
    • ECG (resting heart trace)
    • Echocardiogram (ultrasound scan of the heart)
    • Ultrasound of the neck (carotid) arteries
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screen
    • Ultrasound scan of the abdominal aorta
  • Blood pressure diagnosis
    • 24hr blood pressure monitor is the gold standard investigation in the diagnosis of raised blood pressure
  • Abnormal heart rhythm diagnosis
    • ECG event recorder, options of 24hrs – 7days

    • Core Medical with ECG (please note sports medical certificates can only be issued after  full medical screening with blood tests and ECG assessment)
  • Breast Cancer Screening
    • 3-D mammography for women > 40yrs age
    • 3-D mammography and ultrasound scan for women > 35yrs age with family history or history of dense breast tissue
  • Colon Cancer Screening
    • Colonoscopy or
    • Virtual CT Colonography

    For men and women >45yrs age, or earlier if family history

  • Prostate Cancer screening with imaging
    • PSA blood test and prostate examination
    • mpMRI Prostate (multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging) creates more detailed imaging of the prostate than standard MRI

    Recommended for men >50yrs age, or earlier if strong family history

  • Lung Cancer Screening
    • High resolution CT lung 

    Recommended after discussion with GP, for men and women > 50yrs age with smoking history, or earlier if new persistent lung symptoms


    *CT lung can be combined with heart CT scan (CTCA) if requested

  • Ovarian Cancer screening
    • Ultrasound Pelvis 
    • Ca125 blood marker
  • Bone Density measurement
    • DEXA bone scan

    Recommended for females >50yrs and males >60yrs, or earlier if history of frequent fractures

  • Imaging tests
    • MRI scans – Brain, Heart, Abdomen, Pelvis, Musculoskeletal
    • Ultrasound scans – Abdomen, Pelvis, Musculoskeletal
    • Liver Fibroscan measures fibrosis (scarring) and steatosis (fatty change) in your liver. Recommended if abnormal blood liver function tests or fatty liver.
    • Plain X-ray – Chest,  suspected bone fractures
    • CT scans
  • Genetic Testing
    • Genetic Testing is the analysis of your DNA to help you identify whether you are at risk of developing common hereditary cancers and heart conditions
